Slayne

Terms of Service

Last updated June 24, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Slayne at slayne.events. By using Slayne you agree to them. Questions? Email admin@slayne.events.

The service

Slayne helps people discover events at LGBTQ+ party weekends and lets approved hosts sell tickets to their events. Listings are gathered from public sources and from hosts; we do not guarantee that every listing is accurate, complete, or current.

Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Provide accurate information and keep it current. You must be at least 18 to use Slayne.

Hosts and selling tickets

  • Events you submit are reviewed before they go live. You are responsible for your event's accuracy, legality, and pricing, and for honoring the tickets you sell.
  • Selling tickets requires onboarding a Stripe Connect account; that use is also governed by Stripe's Connected Account Agreement.
  • Slayne charges a platform fee of 3% + $1 per ticket, added to the buyer's total at checkout — you receive the full ticket price you set, paid out by Stripe to your connected account.
  • You are responsible for refunds, entry decisions, taxes, and any compliance obligations related to your events.
  • Content you upload. When you upload an event or series image, you confirm you have the right to share it, and you grant Slayne a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and resize it as needed to render your event or series on the Slayne service. You can replace or remove uploaded photos at any time; doing so revokes the license going forward.

Buyers

Tickets are sold by the host of each event, not by Slayne. Payment is processed by Stripe; your purchase is confirmed by email and a QR ticket. Refunds and entry are determined by the host and the venue. Present your QR ticket for door check-in.

Email communications

When you have an account, we send transactional emails that are part of the service (for example, account, purchase, and support messages). We may also send marketing emails — such as a welcome message and occasional updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any such email, while still receiving necessary transactional messages. How we handle and measure email is described in our Privacy Policy.

SMS / text messages

Program. Slayne event text updates. When you save an event or complete a ticket purchase, you may be invited to provide your US mobile phone number to receive recurring text updates from the host of that event (for example, door times, lineup, or venue changes).

Providing your number is optional, is never required to use Slayne, and constitutes your consent to receive these recurring messages. Message frequency varies and depends on the events you save or buy tickets to. Msg & data rates may apply.

Reply HELP for help, or reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages; you can also remove your number from your account settings. For support, email admin@slayne.events.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We do not share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing — see our Privacy Policy for details.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Slayne — including attempting to disrupt the service, scraping at scale, submitting fraudulent or infringing listings, or using it for unlawful purposes. We may suspend or remove accounts, events, or content that violate these Terms.

Disclaimers

Slayne is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that event information is accurate. Events are run by their organizers; Slayne is not the organizer.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Slayne is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for issues arising from events, hosts, venues, or third-party services (including Stripe). Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees Slayne earned on the transaction at issue.

Governing law

Slayne is operated from Chicago, Illinois, USA. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Slayne will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes are reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
